On April 26, 2017 Deputy Director General of ROSATOM for International Relations Nikolai Spasskiy held negotiations with Minister and Executive Secretary of the National Radiological and Nuclear Regulatory Authority of Paraguay S.J. Cardozo Roman who is paying a working visit to Russia upon ROSATOM’s invitation.
The parties discussed specific approaches to building up the cooperation between the two countries in the peaceful uses of atomic energy. The focus was on application of radiation technologies in medicine and agriculture.
Nikolai Spasskiy and S.J. Cardozo Roman have agreed to expedite preparations to signing the framework intergovernmental agreement between the Russian Federation and Paraguay concerning the cooperation in the peaceful uses of atomic energy.
During his stay in Russia, S.J. Cardozo Roman will visit a number of nuclear-related institutes: JSC Research Institute for Technical Physics and Automation, FGBI A. I. Burnazyan Federal Medical Biophysical Center as well as Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna.
